About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrician to join their team, responsible for planned and responsive electrical maintenance across a range of facilities.

The role will involve maintaining electrical systems, carrying out repairs and minor works, supporting project installations and ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards.

This is a hands-on position suited to a qualified electrician with strong maintenance experience and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned and responsive electrical maintenance.
  • Maintaining and repairing general and specialist lighting systems.
  • Working on lighting within controlled environments.
  • Conducting RCD testing and associated electrical testing.
  • Completing minor electrical installation and new works.
  • Supporting project installations and electrical improvement works.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Carrying out routine inspections to identify potential faults or hazards.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant health, safety and electrical standards.
  • Working independently as well as alongside other trades and contractors.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Electrician with relevant industry experience.
  • 18th Edition qualification is essential.
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification is essential.
  • Previous experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Experience carrying out electrical testing, including RCD testing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams and safety procedures.
  • Experience with lighting systems and minor electrical works.
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
