Mechanical or Electrical Estimator — London

£100,000–£110,000 + 2x Annual Bonuses + Generous Pension

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Estimator to join one of the UK’s most prestigious privately owned MEP contractors.

With a strong order book secured through to 2029, multiple high-profile projects across the UK and Europe, and an outstanding reputation within the industry, this is a rare opportunity to join a business offering genuine long-term stability, major projects and significant career progression.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Estimator who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You will be involved in estimating major, technically complex MEP projects and will have a clear and direct route into an Estimating Manager position.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants to move beyond purely tendering and develop into a senior leadership role within a highly successful contractor.

The Role

  • Prepare detailed and commercially competitive mechanical or electrical estimates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, scopes and tender documentation.
  • Produce accurate pricing and tender submissions.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with pre-construction, commercial, design and project teams.
  • Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value-engineering solutions.
  • Manage multiple tenders through to submission.
  • Contribute to the development of estimating processes and best practice.
  • Take increasing responsibility with a clear pathway towards Estimating Manager.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
