Job title: Mechatronics and Networks Calibration Engineer
Location: Coventry
Employment type: 1 year FTC
Right to Work: This position is open to UK-based candidates who already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
We are seeking a Mechatronics and Networks Calibration Engineer to support the software calibration of actuators, sensors and network diagnostics across internal-combustion-engine applications. You will work across desktop calibration, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and vehicle testing, delivering robust and reliable calibration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate actuator, sensor and network controls and diagnostics.
- Develop and validate calibration solutions across HiL and vehicle environments.
- Analyse test data and investigate technical issues using structured root-cause and problem-solving methods.
- Support systems including air-path actuators and sensors, emissions sensors, network management and CAN/LIN communications.
- Present technical findings through peer reviews and proactively manage technical risks and issues.
- Work closely with Lead Engineers, Subject Matter Experts, Component Owners and wider project teams.

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in automotive software calibration, controls or a related engineering discipline.
- Understanding of engine actuators, sensors and control systems.
- Experience with data acquisition, test data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with ETAS INCA, ETAS MDA, AVL CONCERTO or equivalent tools.
- Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and interpret engineering documentation.
- Full UK driving licence or equivalent.

Desirable:
- Experience with HiL, vehicle or powertrain test-bed environments.
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, AVL CAMEO, Vector CANalyzer or scripting.
- Experience with ECU calibration methodologies.
