Mechatronics Engineer

We've got an East London based role for Mechatronics Engineer. This role will involve becoming a key member of our client's team, working closely with Technicians, Project Managers and Engineers. Our client's industry is focused on sustainability and recycling with the use of the latest technologies to support product development. The role will be flexible to the needs of the team, some weeks focusing more on a project build we might have in-house, other weeks focusing on improving the efficiency of our workshop, working on making ourselves more efficient.

In this role you'll work in a fast-paced scale-up environment with exposure to full product lifecycle and customer deployment with high level ownership and autonomy. You might be asked for occasional travel in the UK and Europe to ensure successful installation or troubleshoot systems on customer site.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
