Referment

Referment is working with an independent, data-led media agency that plans and buys campaigns for commercial and charitable organisations. The team combines audience insight, media planning and campaign analysis across offline channels, helping clients acquire customers or supporters efficiently and understand performance.

The agency is looking for a Media Account Director to manage and develop client relationships. You will turn objectives into effective media strategies and ensure planning, buying, reporting and commercial performance remain joined up.

The Role

  • Lead several client accounts as the main internal and external contact.
  • Plan and buy offline media campaigns across channels such as press, inserts and door drops.
  • Prepare and lead client meetings, presenting results, forecasts and recommendations.
  • Interpret performance data and turn it into practical media-planning decisions.
  • Negotiate with media suppliers and identify new opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for account performance, growth and financial management.
  • Identify trends, propose tests and find commercially sound ways to improve campaigns.
  • Contribute to new-business plans and the wider direction of the media team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience with audience and media-planning tools such as Nielsen, MediaTel or TGI would be valuable. This could suit an established Media Account Manager, Planning & Buying Manager or Senior Media Planner/Buyer ready to lead client relationships while remaining involved in offline campaign strategy.
