We are working with a brilliant independent media agency to find an equally brilliant Account Manager / Senior Account Manager for a 12-month role starting in November.

While a permanent position isn’t guaranteed, there is potential for the opportunity to become permanent, making this a great option for someone looking for their next challenge and the chance to make a real impact within an ambitious independent agency.

The agency

Most advertisers face challenges when it comes to marketing and media resources. This agency exists to help ambitious brands take on the big dogs with larger budgets — and win in the face of adversity.

They believe it’s not about the size of a client’s budget, but the scale of their ambition. True to their underdog spirit, they’re no-nonsense, curious and gutsy. They deliver bite by moving faster and thinking smarter.

About the role

The position can sit at Account Manager or Senior Account Manager level, depending on experience.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

This job description covers Account Manager, stretching to Senior Account Manager role.

1. Managing and training junior team members

  • Work collaboratively with your Account Director/Business Director to develop the professional skills of junior team members on your assigned clients (planners/buyers, executives and assistants).
  • Be confident in the following attributes, with the ability to set standards, create processes, and train junior team members in:
    • Technical knowledge (media planning/buying/research/software and systems)
    • Servicing clients (account handling)
    • Presentation skills, including language, personal presentation and body language
    • Writing skills — accuracy, concision, tone, grammar, spelling and thorough proofing — and knowing the difference between a proposal designed to be read and one designed to be presented
    • Administrative and financial excellence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
