Media Buyer: paid social, paid search & emerging channels - with an agency that’s approaching media buying differently and has an incredible client roster to prove it.

📍 Location – London/Hybrid (office culture is important)
💰 Salary – DOE (agency is open to varying levels of experience)

The role

Most media buying jobs go through the motions of handling a client budget through to bidding dashboards. This role is looking for a different approach, with permission to ignore the media buying playbook.

We are working with a heavily creative growth marketing agency built on one belief: an ad nobody remembers is just expensive wallpaper. This agency sees media buying and the creative iterations that fill those slots as a true craft. A craft currently lost to CTR, CTA, ROAS and any other acronym drowning the industry. The premise is simple: understand where your audience truly spends their time and create beautiful content that appeals to the targeted audience. The results will follow.

While the rest of the industry races to optimise its way into invisibility, this agency uses machine learning to find the audiences that matter, then spends its energy on content people actually want to see.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What they need now is a media buyer who thinks like a strategist and a culture-watcher in equal measure - someone who'll fight for the story as hard as they fight for the CPA.

Our client is open to speaking to people with varying levels of experience in media buying - approach and thought process are more important than years of experience.

What You'll Bring to the Table

🎯 Experience & Background

  • Prior experience as a media buyer or in a similar paid social/paid search role
  • Solid grip on media analytics tools and the end-to-end media buying process
  • Comfortable managing budgets against ROI targets without losing sight of the bigger picture (the brand mission)

💡 Mindset & Approach

  • A critical thinker who'll question "best practice" rather than default to it
  • A natural negotiator and relationship-builder - with clients, vendors and the creative team alike
  • Genuinely curious about culture and platforms, not just performance metrics
  • Bring a point of view on why most performance marketing is dull, and ideas for what to do instead
  • Hands-on experience with social commerce, TikTok Shop, creator/ambassador programmes or AI-driven media tools
  • A track record of choosing story over spreadsheet at least once, and getting the results to prove it
  • Multilingual or multi-market buying experience
