Media, Communications and Campaigns Manager
Are you an experienced media and communications professional with a strong background in journalism and media relations? Are you looking for a role where your work can raise awareness, influence public debate, reduce stigma, and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives?
I’m supporting a mental health membership organisation, in their search for their new Media, Communications and Campaigns Manager, who will lead the UK-wide Media, Communications and Campaigns team in developing and delivering a proactive and reactive communications strategy. You will help raise the profile and influence of 23,000 members across the UK and internationally.
Working in a fast-paced news environment, you will lead proactive and reactive media activity, identifying opportunities to influence the conversation and ensuring the College responds authoritatively to breaking news and emerging issues across the UK. From securing national media coverage and supporting high-profile spokespeople to delivering strategic campaigns, you will play a key role in strengthening the College’s reputation and impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
