Media Consultant – Hurst Media Company (Shoreditch, London)
This is a revenue-generating role focused on building pipeline and converting new business across content-led campaigns. You will be responsible for generating leads, engaging decision makers and selling advertising solutions across print and digital. This is a target-driven role with clear expectations around activity, pipeline and revenue, suited to someone commercially minded, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced sales environment.

Reporting to the Media Manager, the Media Consultant will be responsible for generating new business and selling content-led advertising and marketing solutions across print and digital channels.
The role is focused on building a consistent pipeline of new clients, converting opportunities into revenue, and contributing to overall commercial performance.
You will work across a range of themes, sectors and media partnerships, engaging directly with decision makers and advising on the most effective content-led campaign solutions.
This is a hands-on, target-driven role with clear expectations around activity, pipeline generation and revenue delivery. High performers will have the opportunity to build strong earnings and progress quickly within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development – Generate new revenue by proactively selling content marketing and advertorial solutions.
- Lead Generation – Build and maintain a consistent pipeline through outbound activity.
- Client Engagement – Engage decision makers via phone, email and LinkedIn.
- Consultative Selling – Recommend content-led campaign solutions aligned to client goals.
- Pipeline Management – Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Revenue Delivery – Convert pipeline into revenue.
- Commercial Awareness – Understand pricing and margins.
- Cross-Selling – Increase client spend across campaigns.
- Collaboration – Work with production and editorial teams.
- Client Retention – Drive repeat business.
- Activity & Targets – Deliver against KPIs.

Essential Skills
- Strong communication and phone-based selling skills.

- Comfortable in a target-driven, high-activity environment (circa 100 outbound calls per day).

Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years in a target-driven sales role, ideally including outbound/new business development.
- Media, advertising or marketing sales background preferred.

Remuneration
- Salary: £28,000 – £38,000
- OTE: £40,000 – £50,000+
