Freelance B2B Digital Media Planning Director
Company: B2B Agency
Location: London hybrid, ideally two days per week on-site
Contract: 1–3 months, gap-fill assignment
IR35 status: Inside IR35
Day rate: £350–£400
We’re looking for an experienced freelance B2B Digital Media Planning Director to provide senior cover across a portfolio of B2B accounts. This is a hands-on contract role focused on digital media strategy, client leadership and keeping planning work moving while we fill a gap in the team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead digital media strategy and planning, aligning channel choices and budgets with client objectives.
- Provide clear strategic direction to senior clients and maintain strong relationships across the portfolio.
- Work with activation teams and media partners to deliver campaigns and use results to shape future plans.
- Guide and support the team, ensuring consistently high-quality work across accounts.
- Oversee account budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.
- Contribute to new business pitches and bring practical ideas, tools and approaches, including AI, where useful.

Experience required:

- At least five years’ experience in digital media planning and account leadership.
- B2B marketing experience and a strong understanding of business audiences and buying journeys.
- Strong knowledge of paid social, paid search and the wider digital media landscape.
- The ability to turn business objectives into clear, effective media plans.
- Confidence managing senior client relationships and guiding a team.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- A positive, client-focused approach and the ability to get up to speed quickly.
