ABOUT THE BRIT SPOT

The Brit Spot is one of the UK’s leading social first publishers for young adults. Through our Instagram and TikTok channels, we reach around one in three UK adults aged 18 to 27 every month, with close to one million followers and more than 100 million impressions across our content monthly.

We help brands earn the attention of a generation that is increasingly difficult to reach through traditional advertising. We do this by creating social content that feels native to the feeds our audience already enjoys, while delivering meaningful commercial results for our partners. We have worked with brands including Uber Eats, Google Pixel, National Express, Premier Inn, Chipotle, Wise, Bolt and Arla.

We are a publisher, not an influencer or conventional agency. Our commercial proposition combines trusted editorial context, creative production and highly relevant media distribution. The business is growing quickly, and we are now looking for an exceptional Partnerships Executive who can grow alongside it.

THE ROLE

This is an early career new business sales role for someone with the potential to become an exceptional commercial operator.

You do not need years of media sales experience or an existing network of industry contacts. We are much more interested in your initiative, learning speed, commercial curiosity, communication skills and willingness to make things happen.

You will learn how to create commercial opportunities from the beginning, including researching relevant brands, identifying decision makers, writing persuasive outreach, generating conversations, understanding briefs, developing proposals and helping turn opportunities into revenue.

At first, you will work closely with the Founder across each stage of the sales process. You will receive direct coaching, join commercial meetings and learn how brands and agencies plan, buy and evaluate social media partnerships.

As your experience and confidence grow, you will take increasing ownership of your own prospects, conversations, meetings and commercial pipeline.

This is not primarily an administrative or account management position. The core purpose of the role is to help create new business opportunities and develop into someone capable of running the complete sales process.

Successful new business requires both creativity and consistency. You should be willing to research prospects carefully, approach people you have never spoken to before, follow up persistently and stay organised across a large number of conversations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will work directly with the Founder and closely with our editorial team. As part of a small and ambitious business, you will have fast access to decisions, meaningful responsibility and considerable scope to shape your own progression.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Researching brands, agencies and commercial partners that could benefit from working with The Brit Spot
  • Identifying the relevant marketers, media planners, social leads and other decision makers within each organisation
  • Building accurate prospect lists with clear reasons for why each company should speak to us
  • Writing thoughtful and persuasive outreach across email and LinkedIn
  • Building the confidence to approach prospects by phone, through introductions and at industry events
  • Following up consistently and finding creative ways to turn an initial approach into a genuine conversation
  • Helping prepare for new business meetings by researching the company, its audience, current marketing and likely commercial challenges
  • Joining meetings with the Founder, taking accurate notes and making sure every agreed action happens afterwards
  • Learning how to ask useful commercial questions about a prospect’s objectives, audience, budget, timing and buying process
  • Supporting the development of campaign ideas, media packages and commercial proposals
  • Maintaining accurate records of every opportunity, conversation, next action and outcome
  • Gradually taking ownership of your own prospect relationships, meetings, proposals and revenue
  • Learning from results, improving your approach and contributing ideas to how The Brit Spot can build a stronger commercial function

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role could suit someone starting their career, someone in their first commercial position or someone looking to move into media and advertising from another environment.

A degree is not required, and previous media sales experience is not essential.

We are likely to be a strong fit if you have:

  • Evidence that you take initiative and make things happen without needing every step explained to you
  • The confidence to approach and speak with people you have not met before
  • Strong written communication and the ability to explain an idea clearly and persuasively
  • Commercial curiosity and a genuine interest in why people and businesses make decisions
  • A practical understanding of Instagram, TikTok, social content and the media consumed by young adults in the UK
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with names, numbers, deadlines and agreed actions
  • The resilience to hear no, receive feedback, adjust your approach and try again
  • The ability to learn quickly and apply what you have been taught
  • Strong personal organisation and the discipline to keep records and follow up consistently
  • A willingness to use email, LinkedIn and the phone rather than waiting for opportunities to arrive
  • A hands on attitude and excitement about taking responsibility inside a small, growing company

We care much more about what you have demonstrated than where you have worked or studied.

WHAT YOU WILL GET

  • A base salary of £25,000 to £30,000, depending on experience and demonstrated potential
  • Uncapped commission linked directly to the revenue you help create
  • Direct training from the Founder across prospecting, meetings, proposals, negotiation and commercial strategy
  • The opportunity to learn the complete new business sales process rather than being restricted to administrative support
  • Experience working with major consumer brands and senior marketing professionals
  • A distinctive commercial proposition with a large UK audience and proven campaign results
  • Meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to see the direct effect of your work
  • Clear scope to progress into a Partnerships Manager position as your capabilities, ownership and results grow
  • A hybrid working structure, with the team together in London on Mondays and Wednesdays

HOW TO APPLY

Please send your CV and a short note answering the following question:

Tell us about a time you created an opportunity or made something happen without being asked. What did you personally do, and what happened as a result?

Your example can come from work, education, a personal project, volunteering or any other part of your life.

We do not need a long cover letter. We care more about the evidence, your individual contribution and how you approach opportunities.

The Brit Spot is committed to building an inclusive team. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and assess candidates on the skills, evidence and potential relevant to the role.
