Among our flagship titles is Yorkshire Life, an award-winning publication that has been celebrating the people, places, food, culture and lifestyle of Yorkshire for more than 85 years. We are looking for a commercially focused Digital Sales Specialist to join our Yorkshire Life team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to work with an established luxury brand, helping businesses connect with affluent and engaged audiences through a range of innovative digital advertising solutions.

As a Digital Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and growing relationships with existing clients across Yorkshire. You will work with businesses of all sizes, creating tailored digital marketing campaigns including display advertising, content marketing, social media solutions, SEO and digital advertising products.

This is a hybrid role combining home-based working with regular client meetings across the Yorkshire region. Therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

You will receive excellent training, ongoing coaching and support from an experienced and highly supportive manager, helping you build a successful and rewarding career within media and digital sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking and lead generation activities.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and customer retention.
  • Sell a range of digital advertising and marketing solutions across the Yorkshire Life portfolio.
  • Conduct client meetings via telephone, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face appointments.
  • Build strong consultative relationships by understanding client objectives and presenting tailored marketing solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations and proposals.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets and agreed KPI objectives.
  • Maintain an organised sales pipeline and accurately update CRM systems.
  • Represent Yorkshire Life at networking events, exhibitions and business meetings where required.
  • Cross-sell advertising opportunities across Newsquest's wider portfolio of luxury lifestyle publications and digital products.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Experience generating new business and managing customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Consultative sales approach with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and target-driven.
  • Strong organisation, planning and diary management skills.
  • Comfortable conducting meetings both virtually and face-to-face.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Desirable:

  • Previous media, advertising, digital marketing or publishing sales experience.
  • Understanding of digital advertising, social media marketing, SEO and content marketing.
  • Experience selling marketing solutions to SMEs and regional businesses.
  • Knowledge of the Yorkshire business community and marketplace.
