Can you inspire the next generation of media professionals while leading an ambitious A Level programme?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Programme Leader & Lecturer in A Level Media Studies to join our thriving Sixth Form team. This is a permanent, part-time opportunity working 12 hours per week, ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching and wants to play a key role in delivering an outstanding student experience.
As Programme Leader, you'll shape and develop our A Level Media Studies provision, inspiring students through engaging teaching while overseeing the successful delivery of the programme. You'll support learners to develop the analytical, creative and critical thinking skills they need to progress to higher education and careers within the ever-evolving media industry.
What you'll do:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring A Level Media Studies lessons that motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Plan, prepare and assess high-quality learning activities in line with the awarding body's specification.
- Lead and coordinate the A Level Media Studies programme, ensuring excellent student outcomes.
- Oversee the planning, monitoring and submission of NEA coursework, ensuring deadlines are met and work is uploaded to the awarding body.
- Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement, providing timely support and feedback.
- Act as a personal tutor, supporting students' academic progress and personal development.
- Develop engaging teaching resources that encourage creativity, critical thinking and independent learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Sixth Form to continuously enhance the curriculum.
- Contribute to quality improvement, curriculum development and College enrichment activities.

What we're looking for:
- A degree in Media Studies, Humanities or a related subject.
- A recognised Level 5 teaching qualification, or be working towards one.
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or a willingness to achieve these within an agreed timeframe).
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Media Studies.
- Experience teaching learners at Level 2, 3 or 4.
- Knowledge of A Level assessment requirements, including coursework and NEA processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young people to achieve their ambitions.

- Contract: Permanent
