The Collectv

The Collectv is a fully independent technical TV service provider providing systems integration, media management and engineering support for broadcast, outside broadcast and post-production systems. Our experience spans shows such as Love Island (Lifted Entertainment) for ITV, Last One Laughing (Initial) for Amazon, Drive To Survive (Box To Box) for Netflix, The Reluctant Traveller (TwoFour) for Apple, Darts for Sky Sports to name a few.

In recent years we’ve been awarded Tech Team of the year and in 2015 and 2017 we were awarded Emmys for Outstanding Technical Team Remote at the Olympics as part of NBC’s team.

As one of only a few fully independent technical TV service providers, our people are our most important asset. Our friendly, reliable and personal approach with our clients and their workflows sets us apart from the competition and what continues to fuel our growth in such a competitive industry.

Job Purpose

This is an engineering position with operational elements, where you are required to work by yourself and as part of a team delivering networks of video recording servers, logging systems and edit suites to major production companies and broadcast clients around the world. Responsibilities include engineering and operational duties on-site and maintenance and setup duties at base.

The Position Involves

  • Building and managing video server workflows, often built around Pronology / EVS equipment
  • Monitoring and optimising the performance of media servers and storage systems, non-linear edit suites (Avid, Adobe), and file processing delivery facilities
  • Providing first line (and sometimes remote) system support to address technical faults in a timely manner
  • Guiding media managers, operators and production staff through operational scenarios
  • Completing routine maintenance and regular system checks of our supported systems
  • Evaluating new software and hardware
  • Creating and documenting new media workflows and guidance for users.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
