About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Media Teacher within the Creative Industries Faculty based at Bracknell and Wokingham College.

You will teach and manage one or more courses or groups of students and be responsible for the delivery and development of the T Level Media curriculum, ensuring that students have an excellent experience throughout all stages of their learner journey. The role will deliver across our UAL Creative Media qualifications, including Level 2 and 3 Diplomas, as well as contributing to the emerging T-Level Media provision. You will deliver subjects that consist of Content Creation Production, Project Methodology, Media asset generation, a good understanding of the creative economy and Self Marketing, with strong expertise in Adobe After Effects Software - there is a real focus on the content development using a variety of platforms and Multimedia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential, develop their attributes, and become lifelong learners. You will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate lecturers to ensure we plan and deliver purposeful practical and theory lessons.

Our students are eager to learn, and we want to appoint someone who can provide them with a high level of knowledge and skills that they can utilise in their careers, progression to university, or within the rapidly changing media industry. Activate Learning has an excellent record of delivering vocational courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team. As we expand our T-Level provision, we are looking for someone who can support our learners in gaining the technical skills, professional attributes, and industry insights required to succeed in these more advanced, work-focused qualifications.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week based at our Bracknell and Wokingham college.

Successful candidates will hold an appropriate professional qualification and/or degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related subject area, alongside relevant industry experience. They will have a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to achieve one within an agreed timeframe, and will hold GCSEs (Grade 4/C or equivalent) in English and Maths. Experience of teaching or facilitating learning in a Further Education or Higher Education setting is essential.
