About the Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced medical affairs or programme management professional to play a key role in transforming strategic planning, communication processes, and digital capabilities within a global Medical Affairs environment.

About the Role

This position will lead operational implementation, governance, system enablement, and change management activities across multiple interconnected initiatives, helping teams improve productivity, strengthen planning processes, and drive long-term adoption of new ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and operational alignment of SCP and IMCP initiatives.
  • Coordinate planning activities across evidence generation, scientific communication, and annual planning cycles.
  • Drive stakeholder onboarding, communications, training, and adoption activities.
  • Support governance, content management, and platform stewardship.
  • Coordinate timelines and activities across multiple interconnected workstreams.
  • Lead operational design, implementation, and management of the IEP process.
  • Establish and manage governance forums, including agendas, decision tracking, and action management.
  • Translate strategic objectives into practical workflows, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor programme delivery, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Drive rollout, communication, and training activities to ensure successful adoption.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define and implement digital capabilities supporting planning and evidence-generation activities.
  • Act as business owner for planning and communication platforms.
  • Develop standardised processes, templates, workflows, and user guidance.
  • Support system deployment, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and user engagement.
  • Gather feedback and performance insights to optimise user experience and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a central coordination point across global stakeholders.
  • Support adoption of new processes, systems, and governance models.
  • Provide leadership teams with updates, progress reports, risks, and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences, drug development, business management, or related discipline.
  • 6+ years' experience within life sciences, medical affairs, programme management, or operational project delivery.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience managing complex programmes involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to synthesise large volumes of information into clear, actionable outputs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the drug development lifecycle and scientific concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Medical operations, process improvement, governance, or transformation programme experience.
  • Formal project management certification such as PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience developing or managing Integrated Medical Communication Plans (IMCPs) and/or Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP) processes.
  • Experience supporting executive or leadership governance forums.
  • Digital platform implementation, system rollout, or capability enablement experience.
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and develop practical solutions.

Pay range and compensation package

Remote (UK) 🏢 Current Office Location: Stockley Park, UK (office relocation to London planned for Q2 2027) 📅 Contract Duration: 12 Months 🖥️ Working Pattern: Remote or office-based, with 3 days onsite when required.
