MEDICAL APPRAISER (Ref: 250889)
Type of Employment: Substantive/Fixed Term depending on preference, Secondments welcome
Working Hours: Up to 3 sessions per week (or a fraction of this dependent on preference)
Salary: AA00-AA01 Salary Depending On Experience
Salary Range: £124,020 - £129,093 per annum (pro rata)
Distant Island Allowance: £2,578 per annum (pro rata)
Relocation Assistance: Up to £8000 available
(DIA and Relocation only applicable to staff relocating to Shetland)
About the Role
We are looking for qualified appraisers to support our 70-80 doctors attached to NHS Shetland. Our team includes resident doctors at varying stages of their training, SAS grade doctors, substantive and locum GPs, and consultants who work in a variety of interesting places around the UK and internationally. It is a welcoming group who understand the challenges of remote and rural healthcare and the importance of the NHS to the population.

The pro rata salary for this post will not meet the salary threshold required for sponsorship.
