iMerit is looking for UK-based General Practitioners for a freelance, fully remote Healthcare AI project focused on SNOMED CT medical coding for UK primary care.
The Role
- Rate: $110 per hour (USD)
- Hours: Around 10 hours per week, flexible schedule
- Location: UK, fully remote
- Type: Freelance
What You'll Do
- Review clinical text such as consultation notes, problems, findings, and procedures
- Assign and validate SNOMED CT concepts in line with project guidelines
- Check AI-suggested codes for accuracy, specificity, and clinical safety
- Document your rationale on ambiguous cases

What We're Looking For
- Medical degree and GMC GP Register registration, currently or recently practising in UK primary care
- Hands-on SNOMED CT coding experience (e.g. EMIS Web or SystmOne)
- Based in the UK, with native or near-native English
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow structured guidelines
Nice to Have
- Clinical systems, data quality, or coding lead experience in a practice or PCN
- Previous exposure to data annotation, clinical coding review, or Healthcare AI
- Comfort with web-based annotation platforms
