Job title: Medical Communications Senior Account Manager

Location: London

Career Level: 10

Accenture Song accelerates growth and value for our clients through sustained customer relevance. Our capabilities span ideation to execution: growth, product and experience design; technology and experience platforms; creative, media and marketing strategy; and campaign, content and channel orchestration. With strong client relationships and deep industry expertise, we help our clients operate at the speed of life through the unlimited potential of imagination, technology and intelligence.

As a team: Song Life are a community of scientists, strategists, creatives, technologists and problem-solvers united by a shared ambition: to improve healthcare through better communication, engagement and experiences.

What makes Song Life unique is the opportunity to work across the entire healthcare ecosystem. We don’t operate in silos. Our medical experts collaborate with creatives, experience designers, AI specialists, digital practitioners and marketing strategists to solve complex client challenges in ways that would not be possible within a traditional agency model.

We are naturally curious, relentlessly collaborative and always learning. We challenge each other to think bigger, innovate faster and bring fresh perspectives to every brief. Together, we create work that not only informs and educates but also changes behaviours, strengthens relationships and ultimately improves outcomes for patients.

Joining Song Life means joining a team that values expertise, embraces innovation and believes the best ideas emerge when different disciplines work as one. Here, you’ll have the freedom to grow your career, explore new areas of healthcare and contribute to work that makes a genuine difference.

In our team you will learn:

  • How to evolve from programme delivery into strategic client leadership.
  • How to identify growth opportunities by connecting client ambitions with the full breadth of Song Life capabilities.
  • How to lead multidisciplinary teams through increasingly complex healthcare challenges.
  • How to balance commercial performance with exceptional client experience.
  • How to influence senior stakeholders and become a trusted advisor rather than simply a delivery lead.
  • How to shape integrated programmes that connect medical communications, engagement, digital, creative and experience design capabilities.
  • How to develop and mentor future talent while building high-performing teams.

As a Senior Account Manager you will:

  • Build long-term, trusted partnerships with clients, becoming a valued adviser who understands their priorities, challenges and evolving business needs.
  • Take ownership of strategic account planning and programme delivery, ensuring work not only meets expectations but creates meaningful impact for clients and their audiences.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across medical, strategy, digital and engagement disciplines, bringing together the right expertise to solve complex healthcare challenges.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen programmes, improve outcomes and create additional value.
  • Drive account growth through innovative thinking, commercial awareness and the ability to connect clients with wider Song Life capabilities and expertise.
  • Act as the connective tissue between clients and delivery teams, ensuring strategic intent, operational excellence and exceptional client experience remain aligned.
  • Guide teams through complexity, helping to prioritise effectively, navigate ambiguity and deliver with confidence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement, creating an environment where people can grow and perform at their best.
  • Use insight, data and audience understanding to shape integrated engagement programmes that deliver measurable results.
  • Lead important client discussions, presentations and reviews, representing Song Life with confidence, credibility and professionalism.
  • Support the development of junior colleagues through coaching, mentoring and sharing best practice.
  • Contribute to business development activities, helping to shape proposals, identify opportunities and demonstrate the value of our integrated approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
