Job Title: Medical Compliance Officer

About the Role

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Medical Compliance Officer to provide comprehensive and confidential support to the Trust's Responsible Officer. The role is key to ensuring doctors are appropriately supported to maintain professional standards and that the Trust meets General Medical Council (GMC) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support, ensuring the efficient running of medical appraisal, revalidation, and job planning processes.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times and contribute positively to the reputation of the organisation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Responsible Officer, managing diaries, meetings, correspondence, email accounts, and work schedules.
  • Arrange and service meetings, prepare agendas and papers, produce accurate and timely minutes, monitor actions, and support the delivery of appraisal, revalidation, and governance processes.
  • Use sound judgement and organisational skills to manage competing priorities, coordinate responses to enquiries, maintain electronic records, and implement effective systems to support the Responsible Officer's responsibilities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proactive, organised, and self-motivated individual with a positive, flexible approach and the ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a confidential administrative or executive support role.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, medical staffing, or senior leadership support would be advantageous.
