Role Overview
We are looking for a talented professional with English copywriting skills focused on the Medical Industry, who can work on developing copy content for brand deliverables. This role would complement the design team, while working for our client in the pharmaceutical industry.
The focus of the role will be to create promotional communication content. You should be recognized as a brand expert with an ability to translate the science and data into compelling promotional copy complying with medical, regulatory, legal and compliance guidelines. The aim is to ‘make the complex simple’ adapting larger pieces of content to create smaller, easy-to-read materials for digital and non-digital channels, maintaining key medical messaging and being able to anchor medical literature references.

Responsibilities
- The main focus is to develop and update content for various commercial assets, with an additional focus upon omnichannel implementation on digital channels (including but not limited to banner ads, emails, sales rep materials such as i-detail, social media posts/content and websites) – as well as printed material (including but not limited to posters, slide kits, patient guidelines, sales content, leaflets and conference materials).
- The role works within medical, regulatory, and legal guidelines to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations in the Netherlands, including the client's internal policies. It also ensures that all content is supported by authentic, current, and up-to-date references. A working understanding of the CGR Code (Code Geneesmiddelenreclame) and the Dutch Medicines Act is required.
- There may be occasional opportunities to be involved in creative projects involving ideation and moving image for campaign level activity.
- Working in partnership with a graphic design team (on the needs for copy and content), with the brand and production teams on briefs, workshops and project deliveries.
- Ensuring compliance to local legislation and regulations including client internal policies, ensuring that content development & activities are supported by authentic and up-to-date references.
- Follow best practices in the department regarding processes, communication (internal and external), project management, documentation and technical requirements such as language, grammar, stylization, content search, summarizing, data conflicts, and referencing
- Adherence to the highest editorial standards is expected while creating copy drafts
- Participating in assigned training programs and working on assignments as per requirement.
- Participating in client calls as per project requirements
- Use of, overseeing and harnessing the advantages of AI tools in providing accurate and relevant copy content.
- Being compliant to quality, confidentiality, and security; adhering to and following quality systems, processes, and policies; and being compliant to training and specifications.

Ideal Profile
- Education: Related healthcare Degree/Masters or equivalent qualification preferable
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience, including an in-house creative or agency role working with Pharma sector clients
- Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of local and country/region specific regulatory requirements
- Medical Understanding: Familiarity with / intermediate understanding of, the fields of medicine and good to have respiratory & immunology, cardiovascular, renal & metabolic, oncology therapy areas
- Continuous Learning: Be open to developing such knowledge, outlined immediately above, further working with relevant Medical teams
- Writing Skills: Strong flair, skills and passion for writing with conceptual ability and a solid knowledge of the digital landscape
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
- SEO Knowledge: Relevant experience and being skilled in SEO copywriting, pairing best practices that drive traffic (keyword research), with compelling copy, encouraging a desired action, is a distinct advantage.
- Networking Skills: Passion for networking and stakeholder engagement.
- Technical Updates: Being up to date with the latest technical/scientific developments and relating them to various projects
- Client Focus: Client-oriented attitude with focus on creating strong long-term relationships with clients and encouraging others to work toward this goal
- Project Management: Ability to assure timely completion of assignments
- Problem Solving: Skilled in problem identification and problem solving
- Organizational Skills: Detail oriented, well organized and timeline driven with the ability to multitask.
- Corporate Experience: Experience working within a large multi-national company in a matrix corporate environment preferable.
- Language Skills: Should have both strong written and verbal communication skills in native Dutch language and good business
