Lead clinical excellence at a nationally recognised healthcare organisation

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Director to provide strategic clinical leadership within a highly respected organisation delivering critical healthcare services. This is a high-impact senior leadership role combining clinical strategy, governance, operational medicine and organisational leadership. You will lead the clinical vision, champion the highest standards of patient care and provide trusted clinical advice at Board level, while remaining connected to frontline delivery as an operational HEMS Flight Doctor. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, operational leaders, clinicians and Trustees, you will help shape the future direction of clinical services and ensure the organisation continues to deliver safe, innovative and exceptional patient care.

The Opportunity

As Medical Director, you will hold senior responsibility for the development and delivery of the organisation's clinical strategy and Clinical Governance Framework. You will provide professional leadership across the medical directorate, lead Deputy Medical Directors and the wider doctor team, and create an environment where clinical excellence, learning and continuous improvement are embedded throughout the organisation. As the organisation's Responsible Officer, you will fulfil statutory responsibilities for medical appraisal and revalidation, working closely with doctors, appraisers and the General Medical Council. You will also build strong clinical networks across the pre-hospital and hospital sectors, represent the organisation externally and strengthen its clinical profile through collaboration, partnership and the sharing of expertise.

  • Develop and deliver the clinical strategy in support of high-quality patient care and wider organisational objectives.
  • Provide visible and credible professional leadership across the medical directorate.
  • Lead and develop Deputy Medical Directors and the wider doctor team.
  • Ensure clinical priorities align with operational and organisational strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
