Build a healthcare startup with us
At Red Sky, in partnership with Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder, we build technology companies addressing real challenges in healthcare. We are looking for doctors and medical experts who want to go beyond traditional clinical practice and play a meaningful role in creating a new product, care model, or medical technology. We are not looking for someone to simply review a finished solution. We are looking for a core partner who will take ownership of the medical direction and help build the company from an early stage. The exact scope of the role will depend on the project stage, your experience, and your preferred level of involvement.
Your role
- Co-create the product concept and define its clinical application
- Identify and validate the real needs of patients and healthcare professionals
- Translate clinical knowledge into product requirements and workflows
- Support the design and evaluation of pilots and clinical validation
- Represent the medical perspective in discussions with partners, investors, and institutions
- Help shape the company’s medical strategy and expert team as the venture grows

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What happens next?
We will start with a conversation about your experience, the healthcare challenges you consider most important, and your preferred form of involvement. If we see a strong match, we will introduce you to a venture aligned with your expertise. We may also explore the potential to build a new solution around a problem you know from your clinical practice. You do not need to come to us with a ready-made startup idea. We are looking for clinical expertise, the ability to ask the right questions, and the ambition to improve an important part of healthcare.
Would you like to use your medical experience to create something that could genuinely improve treatment, diagnostics, or patient care? Let’s talk.
