The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director with expertise in lung cancer drug development to provide medical leadership across ongoing and planned clinical development programmes.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will support clinical strategy, protocol development, medical monitoring, data review, safety oversight, and regulatory activities. This role is suited to a physician with pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry experience who can combine strategic clinical development input with hands-on study support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership across lung cancer clinical development programmes.
  • Contribute to clinical development strategy, study design, and protocol development.
  • Provide medical monitoring support for ongoing clinical trials.
  • Review and interpret clinical and safety data to support programme decisions.
  • Participate in safety review meetings and benefit-risk assessments.
  • Support investigator interactions and provide medical guidance during study conduct.
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions and health authority interactions.
  • Support scientific communications, publications, congress activities, and advisory boards.
  • Monitor developments in the thoracic oncology landscape and competitive environment.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Specialist training in Medical Oncology.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Director, Clinical Development Physician, or Senior Medical Monitor within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Significant expertise in lung cancer and precision oncology.
  • Experience with targeted therapies, immuno-oncology agents, and/or antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
  • Strong understanding of clinical drug development, regulatory requirements, and ICH-GCP.
  • Experience supporting Phase I-III oncology clinical trials.
  • Excellent scientific communication and stakeholder management skills.
