UF College of Medicine - Jacksonville is seeking to hire a Medical Director - Urology to join UF Health at our St. Johns and Durbin Park campuses in St. Johns County, Florida. Medical Director Duties
- Work closely with Chair - Department of Urology, Jacksonville, regarding strategy, budgeting, operations and academic affairs.
- Lead the patient care team, collaborating with clinic leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality operations.
- Work with the practice manager to develop the budget and improve clinic processes.
- Foster a positive, professional work environment with strong communication and teamwork.
- Participate in staff and provider meetings to address concerns and implement improvements.
- Ensure safe and effective clinic operations for patients, staff, and physicians.
- Serve as a liaison between the clinic and key leadership to support operations and resolve issues.
- Optimize billing and reimbursement processes in collaboration with Accounts Receivable.
- Keep leadership informed on practice updates, challenges, and initiatives.
- Attend medical director and provider meetings, contributing to committees and task forces as needed.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, supervising providers and the practice manager to maintain high patient care standards.

In this role you will be practicing at both the UF Health St. Johns Flagler Campus and the UF Health Durbin Park campus.

Expected Salary
Commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications
Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes plus five years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience. Federal DEA Certification.
Preferred
Medical Degree - MD, DO or foreign equivalent
Urology - Board Certified or Board Eligible
