We are advertising for 1 full-time, 37.5 hours per week permanent position and 1 full-time, 37.5 hours per week fixed term (secondment for internal staff) position.
About the Role
We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Microbiology team. The post will involve supporting the department in providing diagnostic services and includes data entry; manual, semi-automated and automated technical procedures; dealing with telephone enquiries; store-keeping; stock control; and laboratory waste disposal.
Key Requirements
- Conscientious and enthusiastic
- Ability to work well as part of a team and under pressure
- Good communication and IT skills
Desirable Experience
- Relevant experience would be an advantage

Training
- Full training will be provided
Working Hours
- The laboratory provides a 7 day, extended service
- The successful applicant will be required to participate in the shift system
