As we continue to grow, we're creating a dedicated Nurse Concierge Team whose sole purpose is to deliver a truly five-star clinical experience before, during and long after surgery.
The Role:
Pall Mall are looking to recruit for a full-time medical receptionist for our clinic in Manchester City Centre.
Monday-Friday between 7:45am-7:15pm and 1 in every 4 Saturdays
Main Duties / Responsibilities Include:
- Welcoming and greeting patients as they enter the clinic in a friendly manner
- Based on front of house, meeting and greeting patients and directing them to the correct area for their appointment
- Arriving and discharging patients and ensuring they receive 5-star customer service. Asking how their appointment was, if there is anything else we can do for them, taking payment for additional services if necessary.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately
- Deal with sending pathology results, letters, sick notes to patients.
- Liaising with GP’s, pharmacists and patients to ensure patients receive their prescriptions in a timely manner.
- Dealing with all patients' enquiries with courtesy and efficiently.
- Dealing with patients who walk in and enquire about an appointment and book them in for the appropriate service.
- Work closely with GP’s and Consultants to ensure they have everything they need for the appointments to take place and liaise with them daily to ensure patients get the follow-up care/tests they require.
The Key To Success:
- Medical Receptionist experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Receptionist or Front of house experience in any industry
- Experience within NHS or private healthcare is desirable.

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven experience of working within a team within a service environment
- Resilience and ability to work at pace
- Experience of engaging with patients and other stakeholders to provide customer service and general problem solving
- Confident and calm personality, understanding and empathetic approach
- Good administration skills & experience within an office environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues, clients
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, and professionally – dealing with stressful and changeable situations
- Self-motivated and ability to prioritise
- Organised and able to multi-task
- IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
