Medical Records Team Leader | Spire Leicester Hospital | Oadby | 37.5 hours per week, Full Time
Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Records Team Leader to oversee our Medical Records team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a vital service, ensuring the efficient, compliant and high-quality management of patient records and consultant administration across our hospital site.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Medical Records and Medical Secretaries teams.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, performance and departmental KPIs.
- Ensure timely completion of NHS typing and related administrative processes.
- Drive service improvements and identify efficiencies to enhance performance.
- Build strong relationships with consultants, external secretaries and hospital colleagues.
- Manage staffing, rotas, absence and performance in line with company policies.
- Ensure medical records are maintained accurately, securely and in accordance with GDPR and hospital procedures.
- Produce management information and support audits and compliance activities.

Who we're looking for:
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- Audio typing experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Understanding of healthcare administration, GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
