Duration: 12 months (initial)

SRG are working with a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry who due to an internal promotion are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for a 12 month contract. This role focuses within Neuroscience (Migraine) and is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to move into a field-facing role within Medical Affairs.

Main Responsibilities Include

  • Interact on behalf of the Medical Affairs team with KOLs/thought leaders across the UK concerning their needs for scientific knowledge in chosen therapeutic area
  • Provide quality scientific exchange or education programmes on scientific matters to physicians and other relevant HCPs
  • Assisting the Med Managers, Medical Advisors with business/clinical strategy and tactical plan development
  • Maintaining business & medical knowledge of chosen therapeutic area, including current treatment strategies, current and pending competitors, plus new therapeutic developments
  • Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to physicians, individually or in groups (meetings, clinical sessions, etc.), where requested
  • Identify thought leaders to engage in collaborative efforts such as potential research collaborations, or educational and advisory roles (Advisory Boards, Congresses, Symposia, etc.)

Skills/experience Required

  • Advanced Degree in Medicine, Science, Pharmacy or similar (MD, PhD advantageous but not essential)
  • Prior experience in a field-facing role would be ideal but is not essential
  • Prior knowledge and experience within Neurology would be advantageous
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and operate well cross-functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing Medical Affairs incl. ABPI and other related Codes of Practice
  • Possess a keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned Disease area/product(s) and in medical research in general
