About you 👤

  • Advanced scientific or healthcare degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSc, or equivalent).
  • Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical data.
  • Proven track record in building trusted relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and external experts.
  • Excellent scientific communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to generate and communicate actionable medical insights.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management capabilities.
  • Good understanding of medical governance, compliance, and the ABPI Code.
  • Experience reviewing materials for scientific accuracy and compliance.
  • High levels of scientific integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role with extensive UK travel (up to 80%).
  • Medical Affairs experience, ideally as an MSL, Medical Advisor, or similar.
  • Experience engaging with HCPs, KOLs, and scientific stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the UK healthcare environment and ABPI Code.
  • Women's Health or related therapeutic area experience preferred.
  • Experience reviewing promotional and non-promotional materials preferred.
  • Experience supporting advisory boards, medical education, congresses, or evidence-generation activities preferred.

About the role đź§­

To act as a field-based scientific expert for Theramex’s Women’s Health portfolio across the UK, building trusted scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and other relevant stakeholders, generating actionable medical insights, and supporting the development and execution of the UK Medical Affairs strategy.

This is primarily a Medical Science Liaison role and may also include medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy, balance, compliance, and alignment with company policies, the Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC)/Prescribing Information, and applicable regulations and codes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 📌

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with KOLs, HCPs, investigators, and external experts.
  • Lead balanced, non-promotional scientific engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategic scientific engagement plans aligned to Medical Affairs objectives.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical and scientific enquiries compliantly.
  • Represent the company at congresses and scientific meetings, maintaining therapeutic area expertise.
  • Identify unmet medical needs, evidence gaps, and emerging clinical trends.
  • Gather, analyse, and communicate actionable medical insights.
  • Contribute to Medical Affairs strategy, brand planning, and lifecycle management.
  • Support advisory boards, congresses, and medical education activities.
  • Support investigator-initiated studies and evidence-generation initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of medical education programmes.
  • Deliver scientific and therapeutic area training to internal stakeholders.
  • Review promotional and non-promotional materials for medical accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure materials align with prescribing information, regulations, and company policies.
  • Apply sound scientific judgement and Medical Affairs governance principles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Medical teams.
  • Provide scientific expertise and ensure Medical Affairs perspectives are represented in key initiatives.
