Job Opportunity: Medical Science Liaison

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Science Liaison based in United Kingdom.

About the Role

This field-based role serves as a key scientific interface between the organization and healthcare professionals, researchers, key opinion leaders, and other external stakeholders. You’ll help translate medical strategy into meaningful scientific engagement across the Nordic region, with approximately 80% of your time focused on customer-facing activities. The position combines scientific exchange, insight gathering, evidence generation, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Clinical Development teams to support strategic priorities. The role offers exposure to innovative therapies, clinical development, and evolving therapeutic areas. It is an opportunity to build trusted relationships with leading experts while contributing to initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes.

Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, professional associations, key opinion leaders, and other scientific experts across the Nordic region.
  • Act as a primary scientific point of contact, providing accurate, balanced, and timely responses to medical information requests.
  • Conduct high-quality scientific and medical exchanges with external stakeholders and communicate clinical and scientific data effectively.
  • Lead and support advisory boards, scientific meetings, congresses, educational programs, and other medical initiatives.
  • Develop and execute engagement plans for key external experts and contribute to speaker development activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate insights from the field to support medical strategy and broader organizational decision-making.
  • Support clinical trial feasibility assessments, investigator-initiated studies, and other evidence-generation initiatives.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, pipeline developments, emerging scientific evidence, and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Clinical Development, and other internal teams.
  • Contribute to product launch preparation and lifecycle management activities across the Nordic region.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in line with applicable regulations, compliance standards, internal policies, and ethical requirements.

Requirements

  • MD or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline, combined with a PhD or equivalent scientific qualification.
  • Previous experience as an MSL, Medical Advisor, Clinical Scientist, or in another relevant Medical Affairs position.
  • Strong ability to interpret, analyze, and communicate complex scientific and clinical data.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with healthcare professionals, researchers, KOLs, and other scientific stakeholders.
  • Pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical research experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, scientific storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to build credibility across diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently and managing priorities in a field-based environment.
  • Strong scientific curiosity, learning agility, and enthusiasm for meaningful medical and scientific dialogue.
  • Fluency in Danish and English.
  • Additional Nordic language capabilities are considered an advantage.
