Job Opportunity: Cardiology Department Administrative Support

Are you confident using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word? Do you have strong typing skills and a keen eye for detail? If you're a good communicator with a willingness to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organized individual to join our welcoming team in the Cardiology Department. In this role, you’ll work closely with an experienced Medical Secretary Team, providing vital administrative support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a real difference in the smooth running of our services.

You’ll be working alongside a supportive and enthusiastic team, liaising with colleagues across all levels. Strong administrative skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a proactive, flexible approach are essential. You’ll be expected to maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality in all aspects of your work.

In This Key Role, You Will

  • Provide a complete medical administrative service including Referral to Treatment (RTT), patient correspondence, and editing and formatting letters.
  • Liaise with Nurses, Doctors, and other members of the multidisciplinary team, including inpatient and outpatient bookings teams, to provide a quality service for the patients.
  • Work as part of a team, sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the administrative service to deliver safe patient care.
  • Provide a first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner, and using your own judgment to establish the priority of issues and taking action as appropriate.
