AuDHD Psychiatry is a growing private service specialising in ADHD and autism assessment and treatment for adults and children. We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary / Patient Coordinator to join our remote administration team.

The role

Working approximately 20 hours per week, you will support the smooth running of the clinic across afternoons and early evenings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing client enquiries, calls, voicemail and shared inboxes.
  • Helping prospective clients understand our services and complete bookings.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records.
  • Preparing client and GP correspondence.
  • Supporting assessment reports and tracking deadlines.
  • Supporting medication, shared-care and transfer-of-care administration.
  • Managing appointments, follow-ups, invoices and internal trackers.

You will use Carebit, HubSpot, Calendly, Slack and Microsoft Office, with full training provided.

About you

You should have:

  • Previous experience in medical, healthcare or general administration, or customer service.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • A confident, professional telephone manner.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
  • Confidence discussing fees, payments and cancellation policies.

Experience in healthcare, mental health, GP liaison, CRM systems or working with neurodivergent clients is desirable.

Hours & pay

Approximately 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Typically 1pm–7pm, with at least one evening per week extending to approximately 8pm. Start times are flexible between 1pm and 3pm. Occasional Saturday morning availability is required.

£16 per hour on a self-employed/contractor basis. A part-time PAYE arrangement may also be considered.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Private, confidential home-working space.
  • Reliable internet and suitable IT equipment/headset.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview and complete a short telephone exercise as part of the recruitment process.
