Medical Secretary - Obstetrics & Gynaecology
We are looking for an organised, motivated and compassionate Medical Secretary to join our Obstetrics & Gynaecology team at Musgrove Park Hospital on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
We are primarily looking for someone to work full time (37.5 hours per week), however, we are happy to consider alternative working patterns, including job share arrangements if these suit service needs. Please let us know in your application what days and hours you are available to work.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide a comprehensive and professional administrative service to our specialty teams--supporting the smooth coordination of patient pathways and ensuring high quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team.
- Support the smooth coordination of patient pathways.
- Ensure high quality patient care through comprehensive administrative services.
- Manage a busy and diverse workload.
- Communicate confidently with patients, clinicians, and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate and timely information across clinical systems.
- Work collaboratively within the secretarial team.
- Organise appointments, process correspondence and referrals.
- Support the flow of patient information.
- Help the department meet key performance targets and Trust standards.
