Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working medical secretary to manage the administration of our GP partners within this exceptionally busy private practice on Sloane Street.
You will be responsible for providing efficient secretarial support to the wider team of GPs.
About the Role
The Sloane Street Surgery is an established private general practice situated between Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. We offer high-quality private healthcare in a professional and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Processing all patient-related information, including clinic letters, reports, referrals, appointments, admissions, and all general enquiries.
- Ensuring that all correspondence is handled within the required timeframes.
- Booking all appointments and coordinating imaging, pathology, or hospital appointments as required.
- Handling any outstanding invoices for patients, insurers, or third parties to ensure prompt payment.
- Call handling for an exceptionally busy switchboard.
- Query and complaints handling.

Requirements:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-established numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent, at grade C or above in Mathematics and English).
- Accurate typing.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and be capable of using most Microsoft Office applications, particularly, EMIS, MS Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate ability to pay good attention to detail, reliably check and record data, and identify anomalies and be able to self-check completed work.
- A high level of discretion.
- Experience working in a medical or healthcare setting is favorable.
