Medical Secretary
An opportunity has arisen within Mental Health Services for a Medical Secretary to join our current team.
The successful candidate would also be expected to provide cover for other secretaries at times of annual/sick leave.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of Medical Secretaries who provide comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and patient coordination services for Consultant Psychiatrists and associated medical staff who provide outreach clinics throughout Argyll and Bute.
You will have significant secretarial experience with a high level of office practice skills, have knowledge of medical terminology, and be proficient in the use of office software and patient information systems (such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, Hospital Intranet, TrakCare PMS, SciStore, etc.), with a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm.
Knowledge of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment)(Scotland) Act 2003 would be an advantage.
Candidates must be self-motivated and possess excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as individually are essential.
This post will be worked 21 hours over 4 days.
This post is based in Lochgilphead.
