An exciting opportunity for a Medical Secretary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated experienced Medical Secretary to join the Department of Neurosciences (Neurosurgery) at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust.
About the Role
The successful candidates will work closely with Consultants and clinical teams to provide a safe and effective management of referrals, clinical correspondence, outpatient clinics and all associated medical secretarial duties and acting as a first point of contact for consultants and colleagues alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a specialised, comprehensive, and confidential patient-centred clinical administration and secretarial service to Consultants and their teams in accordance with Departmental, Trust, and National standards, policies, and procedures.
- Implement and maintain an efficient office management system/procedures to enable the consultant and his/her team to optimise their patient care services.
- Continually contribute to patient and business improvement Agendas.

Ideally the candidate should have strong secretarial skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Diary Management with good organisational skills and have excellent typing skills.
