Exciting Opportunity: Medical Secretary at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our existing secretarial team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. This role is within the Urology Department based at Sandwell Health Campus.

Key Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Cancer Pathways and RTT is desirable

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide full secretarial support to 2 consultants and their junior doctors
  • Manage administrative processes associated with patient pathways
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of clinical teams, including patient experience, patient flow, and waiting list management
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to Consultants and clinical teams
  • Book appointments for patients on cancer pathway within National Targets
  • Raise any capacity issues with the Line Manager
