About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised Band 3 Medical Support Secretary (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, full-time) to work in the Perinatal CMHT. We are seeking a conscientious administrator with a can-do attitude who enjoys working in a large team and demonstrates a commitment to delivering high quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have a broad range of administration and secretarial experience, being able to work with initiative and sometimes under pressure. The post-holder will work as part of a dynamic team supporting medical secretaries, consultants, clinicians and team managers in the smooth running of the Admin Services. The successful applicant will work directly with the consultant, providing secretarial duties and co-ordinate and facilitate the dissemination of information to and from the team and be required to deal efficiently, precisely and courteously with telephone calls from service users as well as health professionals.

Duties will include:

  • Audio typing clinical letters
  • Typing of medical and other correspondence
  • Actioning any requirements identified in minutes/typing
  • Uploading scanning including prescriptions
  • Assisting the consultants with their diary management if required
