The Role of the Medical Support Technician
- Servicing value medical grade automated dispensing systems.
- Most NHS but also do some work in private hospitals
- Working hours Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm (40hours per week)
- Provide field service support for Planned Preventive Maintenance, equipment repairs and unscheduled call outs
- Ensure that equipment downtime is minimal and that your PPM plans are continually monitored and actioned in a safe, timely manner
- Conduct installations, to ensure that any work undertaken complies with the relevant manufacturers’ quality procedures
- Assist engineering colleagues as the ‘second person’ on installation projects, modality installations, PPM activities and service call-outs
- Provide service reports and all relevant supporting documentation for traceability, further processing, and invoicing
- Access spare part codes and service manuals to ensure product service/repair is in line with Manufacturers’ guidelines
- Use Field Mobile App device/laptop to accurately record all work carried out
- Keep accurate account of allocated stock & complete checks as required
- Promote the highest standard of Service to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Any other activities as determined to meet with the dynamic needs of the business
- Most work will be in and around the Greater London region but there will be times where you will go out further afield to help with work loads

The Ideal Person for the Medical Support Technician
- Must be located in Greater London area or very close by as most of the customers are in this area.
- Must have valid UK driving licence
- This is an apprentice/entry level role in service engineering so someone suitable for this
- Must have good diagnostic electromechanical fault-finding skills.
- Be customer focused with a courteous and professional manner.
- Have the ability to prioritise your workload, work to deadlines and deal with work pressures.
- Dress job smart and presentable (company branded attire is available).
- Have a full clean driver’s licence.
- Be a conscientious technician – recognising the importance of equipment uptime and making best considered decisions to manage each situation.
- Prepare reports/documentation to a high level (methodical and accurate)
- Be a team player – committed to working in a team environment to deliver excellent service with your colleagues.
