The Role

The Technical Solutions Team within Enterprise Solutions at Siemens Healthineers provides a diverse portfolio to support all aspects of ES business. Reporting to the Head of Technical Solutions, the Medical Technology Manager provides radiographic equipment expertise for all prospective and operational MES projects. They will act as subject matter experts for all ES engagements; therefore, an excellent understanding of the Radiology equipment marketplace is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping up to date with the latest clinical trends, radiological equipment updates and innovations within the market to provide in-depth equipment knowledge for Siemens and Multi-Vendor radiology equipment.
  • Supporting the ES Solution Architects and Commercial Project Managers during Value Partnership tenders by liaising with the Product & Service teams for equipment capital and maintenance quotations costs for the bid Financial Models
  • Liaising with Strategic Procurement for OEM quotations
  • Work with Senior Project Managers to produce Project Information Plans, assisting Project Support Managers for building works information, if required, and support development of site planning with the Head of International Design Solutions
  • Supporting and attending Value Partnership bid negotiation meetings where required
  • Providing expert advice on technology to Strategic Procurement Team for Equipment tenders, including evaluation of tender responses from internal and external suppliers, attending product presentations, equipment demonstrations and customer visits with suppliers
  • Supporting ES Engagement Managers during change control process
  • Providing technical support to Operation Teams before, during and after equipment refresh
  • Produces generic equipment specifications, makes and models and annual banding for potential, new and existing projects/tenders
  • Assist customers with reviewing and creating relevant generic equipment specifications
  • Participating in customer user groups and providing product information to clinical teams to update their market knowledge prior to equipment replacement
  • Educating and supporting operational MES teams on equipment innovations through close liaison with internal and external product organisations
  • Establishing and leveraging effective relationships with external equipment related organisations
  • Working closely with the Project Support Managers to ensure the best outcomes for equipment installations
  • Availability to travel extensively within GB&I

  • Expertise in diagnostic imaging equipment from all manufacturers
  • Understanding and/or experience in healthcare
  • Knowledge of equipment installation projects would be desirable
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, particularly in negotiation and influencing
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a problem-solving mindset
  • First class organisational and presentation skills
  • Assertiveness, tenacity and self-motivation
  • The ability to engage all members of a diverse team towards a shared objective
