Medical Transcriptionist Team Leader Opportunity at Baird House
The post holder will provide comprehensive admin support to Consultants and Junior Medical Doctors in Community Mental Health Services, Early Intervention Team.
Our community mental health teams work with people with severe and enduring mental health issues as well as those with less severe illness who have not responded to provided interventions in primary care services. They offer flexible, responsive, and proactive integrated services to individuals with severe and complex mental and behavioral disorders.
The service offered to individuals will be provided in the most appropriate setting primarily within the individual's own home and enable individuals in crisis to achieve the highest level of functioning possible in the least restrictive setting; preventing unnecessary hospitalization and facilitating more rapid discharge from an acute care setting.
Applicants will be proficient in the use of audio-typing and word-processing packages and qualified to RSA Level 3 typing/word-processing or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential along with possession of the AMSPAR certificate.

Main Duties
- Planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the work of the identified service.
- Successfully organizing their own workload and coordinating workload activities within the team.
- Demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly telephone manner.
- Working to tight deadlines and withstanding the pressure of a busy department.
- Working with the minimum of supervision.
- Demonstrating flexibility and using their own initiative to carry out duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organization, thus enabling the medical team to utilize their time in an efficient and effective manner.
