6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | £28.90 per hour
We are currently seeking an experienced and organised Medical Workforce Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting the effective planning, coordination and management of the medical workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong workforce planning, rota management and stakeholder coordination experience who can work confidently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the medical workforce to ensure appropriate staffing levels and service requirements are met.
- Oversee medical rotas, including the planning and allocation of shifts, leave and cover.
- Monitor workforce capacity, vacancies and staffing requirements.
- Work closely with clinicians, operational managers, HR and other key stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve rota gaps and workforce issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain accurate workforce records and produce reports and workforce information as required.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and deployment of medical staff.
- Ensure workforce processes comply with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance on workforce planning and medical staffing matters.
- Contribute to service improvement and workforce planning initiatives.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in medical workforce management, workforce planning, medical staffing or rota management.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with workforce data.
- Experience working within a healthcare or NHS environment is highly desirable.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.

- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
