Medical Writer or Senior Medical Writer
We're looking for a Medical Writer or Senior Medical Writer to join our busy editorial team. The team creates and delivers a wide range of projects, serving the needs of both the pharmaceutical company sponsors and the healthcare professional audience.
Responsibilities
- Develop content at every stage of a project lifecycle, from initial kickoff through to approval and delivery
- Take responsibility for the projects assigned to you - and take pride in your work
- Write and review scientific and marketing content for a great variety of materials; not only traditional slide decks but also emails, video transcripts, websites and live event materials
- Confidently and proactively handle the day-to-day work on the projects assigned to you (with oversight and support from team members)
- Balance your workload across several projects simultaneously, and make appropriate prioritisation decisions
- Attend occasional live events, either online or face-to-face
- Form an integral part of the project delivery team, working closely with other departments including client services, digital and creative teams
- Communicate clearly and effectively with client contacts and expert healthcare professionals

Requirements
- A good life sciences degree
- Experience of working in a medical communications or pharmaceutical business environment
- An excellent eye for detail
- A clear, unambiguous writing style, and are able to adapt that style to suit a variety of audiences and materials
- A sound understanding of scientific and pharmaceutical principles, and the ability to learn and apply new scientific and regulatory information
- An awareness of relevant laws and regulations, ideally including the ABPI code of practice
- Experience using Veeva PromoMats or similar systems
- Great written and verbal communication skills
