An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the acute medicine matron team, for a 3-month secondment, at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. This is an opportunity for a professional nurse, to provide clinical advice, and to provide leadership and management, for adult services within medicine. The successful candidate can expect to have a designated clinical area, as well as working as part of an experienced team of matrons. We are looking for an experienced nurse who has already worked at a Band 7 level, who is dedicated to supporting safe quality care to patients. As this is a secondment opportunity, permission from your current line manager will need to be agreed, an immediate start would be necessary.

Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will act as the professional nurse lead providing clinical advice, leadership development, monitoring, and management of all nursing resources for general adult services within the designated clinical area, to facilitate excellent nursing practice ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, patient-centered service.
The post holder will be a clinical nurse leader, working with the Management Team to identify opportunities for service change and improvement to encourage and enable advancement and development of associated evidence-based services.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse
- Masters Degree or equivalent experience
- Significant relevant experience in a managerial post
- Up to date on professional nursing practice and health service management
Desirable criteria
- Post-graduate management qualification
