To work as part of the pharmacy team in providing an efficient, effective and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and customers including dispensing and stock top up to wards, departments and other outlying units where appropriate.

Are you already a qualified QCF (formerly NVQ) Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant looking for a change? We are looking for a dedicated, organised and motivated person to join us as a Rotational Pharmacy Assistant.

You will rotate through the Aseptic Suite, Dispensary, Ward services and Stores sections gaining experience and undertaking additional training if required.

Responsibilities:

  • Rotational Experience: Rotate through the Aseptic Suite, Dispensary, Ward services, and Stores sections.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Good communication & organisational skills.
    • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Flexible and able to work well in an environment of change and transition.
    • Good computer skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
    • Physically fit for physically demanding tasks.

Working Environment:

  • Work closely with the rest of the pharmacy team to provide high quality pharmaceutical care to all patients within the Trust.
  • Develop good working relationships with other departments within the Pharmacy and Hospital.
  • Work well within a diverse team consisting of Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, Pharmacists, Nurses, and Clerical staff.
