Employment Details

Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary 6 Months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency

Classification: Administrative Service Officer Level 6 (PN 70891)

Salary: $102,657 - $116,592 (Plus 12.5% Super)

Location: Various, with hybrid work arrangements in place

Section: Medico Legal

Closing Date: 2nd September 2026

About the Role

Ready to make an impact at the intersection of healthcare, law, and patient safety? Join our team and help support complex medico-legal, coronial, and claims matters that contribute to better outcomes across Canberra Health Services.

The Medico Legal Team is seeking a Medico Legal Support Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. This role provides essential support to the Medico Legal Advisors and Director in coordinating, advising on, and delivering education relating to medico-legal, coronial, and claims matters across Canberra Health Services (CHS). The successful candidate will support the oversight and monitoring of these matters, including overseeing notifications of patient-related clinical incidents to ACT Insurance Authority (ACTIA) and liaising with the ACT Government Solicitor (ACTGS) when required. Working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, you will foster and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders and CHS staff, while supporting the team in obtaining information through the ACTGS to assist in defending matters involving CHS.
