We're looking for an experienced and organised Meeting and Events Operations Manager to lead the delivery of meetings, conferences, events and special occasions, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for every guest.

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing event operations, developing a high-performing team and ensuring every event is delivered seamlessly from start to finish.

The Opportunity

As Meeting and Events Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operational delivery of meetings, conferences, weddings, events and other functions within the hotel.

You'll work closely with sales, kitchen and operational teams to ensure every event is planned and delivered to the highest standards, creating memorable experiences for guests while supporting the commercial success of the business.

Your role will be central to maintaining service excellence, driving team performance and ensuring operational efficiency across all event activity.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Meetings and Events department
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop team members
  • Ensure meetings, conferences, weddings and events are delivered to exceptional standards
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure a seamless handover from booking to delivery
  • Manage event staffing, resources and operational requirements effectively
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure expectations are met and exceeded
  • Monitor service standards and implement improvements where required
  • Handle guest and client feedback professionally and resolve issues effectively
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing and company standards
  • Support revenue opportunities through effective event planning and operational delivery

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in Meetings and Events, Conference and Banqueting or hospitality operations management
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of event operations
  • Positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach
