We have an exciting opportunity for a Meeting and Events Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable person who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent service.
Working within Meeting & Events means being part of a fast-paced and varied operation, delivering a wide range of events from private dinners and celebrations to large-scale functions. You will help create a welcoming and professional experience for our guests while ensuring our service standards are maintained throughout every event.
The Person
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Friendly, approachable, and confident when interacting with guests
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Reliable, organised, and attentive to detail
- Comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment
- Flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to work under pressure
Previous hospitality or events experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.

The Role
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests throughout events
- Look after designated tables and ensure guests have everything they need throughout the event
- Serve drinks and refreshments efficiently and professionally
- Clear and maintain tables throughout the event, ensuring they remain clean and well presented
- Welcome guests and respond to their requests in a friendly and helpful manner
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure a high standard of service throughout the event
- Follow event timings and service instructions
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation within the event areas
- Support different areas of the Meeting & Events operation, including our event bars when required
- Work as part of the team to deliver an excellent guest experience from the beginning to the end of each event
- Follow all hotel procedures, licensing requirements, and health & safety standards
