Job Description

Portico have an outstanding opportunity available for a Meeting Room & Event Technician (Room Technician) to join our brand-new team based at the City offices of a global consultancy firm.

We take great pride in being the service partner selected to deliver an intuitive service, with careful planning and faultless standards. Our guest services team will need to have a special can-do, flexible approach and relish the opportunity to keep raising the bar, exceeding expectations at every opportunity.

The key function of the Room Technician is to take care of the meeting room space. Not only will they ensure the rooms are clean and tidy, they will be the team’s specialists in setting up the rooms to the required specifications and standard for each meeting.

The new Room Technician will need to have a hands on, flexible and proactive approach, offering their services to assist the team as required, as they will cover all areas of guest services, including reception, hospitality, food service and workplace services.

As this is a new contract for Portico, there will undoubtedly be room for the team to identify innovative and efficient ways to add value to our services, upholding and improving on the already world-class offering provided by the team. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of something special!

Hours

  • 40 hours per week, with rotating shifts between 7am-7pm, from Monday to Friday

Salary

  • £34,352 per annum

Qualifications

To join the team, you will be an efficient and organized team player with strong communication skills. A high level of personal presentation and a proactive approach will be valuable for our new Room Technician, as well as the natural desire to embrace change.

A customer-focused approach is imperative for this role, so the successful candidate will have some experience in delivering a top-end level of customer service, within an environment that has extremely high expectations.

Please note that this is a physical role. Applicants must be comfortable to spend long periods of the day on their feet, as well as with the heavy lifting involved in setting up meeting rooms.
